Kaysie Engstrom, D-NP is a Family Medicine provider at Rapid City Medical Center, dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families of all ages.

A Spearfish, South Dakota native, Kaysie earned both her undergraduate and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from South Dakota State University. Her passion for healthcare began with a desire to help others while continually learning and growing as medicine evolves. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as an ICU nurse, serving on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic, an experience that deepened her commitment to providing high-quality, empathetic care.

Outside of medicine, Kaysie enjoys golfing, lake days, home improvement projects, and spending time with her family.

Sydney Stanley, DO

Family Medicine – Med Arts Clinic, Rapid City Medical Center

Dr. Sydney Stanley is a Family Medicine physician at Rapid City Medical Center’s Med Arts Clinic, dedicated to providing compassionate, full-spectrum care for patients of all ages.

Raised in Rapid City, she graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology before earning her medical degree at Des Moines University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Honor Health Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona.

Her path to medicine began while working at an Inpatient Pharmacy, where she discovered her fulfillment came from patient care. This inspired her to pursue medical school and a career in family medicine. During her training, Dr. Stanley was named Resident of the Year by her peers and medical students.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, mountain biking, swimming, golfing, and exploring new foods and brews. Most of all, she values spending time with her husband and children, often adventuring together as a family.

Dr. Stanley is proud to return to her hometown to care for the community where she was raised.

Karly Haug, FNP-C

Growing up in Canistota, South Dakota, Karly Haug, FNP-C, discovered early on a deep purpose to support and care for those around her. A value that continues to guide her approach to care in Family Medicine at Rapid City Medical Center. This calling lead her to multiple mission trips to Haiti in high school, and a lifelong commitment to serve others with compassion and purpose.

Karly earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from South Dakota State University. Go Jacks! Her journey from RN to Family Nurse Practitioner was fueled by a desire to advocate more deeply for her patients and be a stronger steward of their care. Her continued education reflects her belief in doing what’s best for the individuals and families she serves.

Outside the clinic, Karly enjoys spending time with her husband, their daughter, and two golden retrievers. They love being outdoors together, whether hiking, fishing, or golfing. She’s also an avid reader and self-declared coffee connoisseur.

With a deep-rooted passion for service and a strong sense of community, Karly is proud to provide family-focused care that reflects the values and spirit of Rapid City Medical Center.

Kelly Steele, C-NP

Kelly grew up in the Black Hills area and earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree from South Dakota State University. For ten years, she worked as an RN in cardiology and vascular cardiology prior to earning her master’s degree in nursing from Clarkson College in Omaha to become a CNP. She joined RCMC South in 2023 after discovering her passion for Family Medicine and looks forward to forming long-term relationships with patients across their lifespan.

Kelly has a husband, Jay, 2 sons; Cole and Mason, 4 daughters; Caysee, Kimber, Cassi, and Taylor, a Pug, Oliver, a French bulldog, Charlie, and 2 labs; Bronco and Luna. Outside work, she enjoys watching college sports, especially Husker volleyball, reading, and home organization and decor.

Lannese Purtell, D-NP

Lannese is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She graduated from South Dakota State University with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. Prior to obtaining her DNP degree, Lannese worked as registered nurse (RN) for almost 10 years. She has a passion for caring for individuals across their lifespan.

Lannese is a Rapid City native and enjoys the beautiful Black Hills. When not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and three children.

Kimberly is a Certified Nurse Practitioner, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified, and is a graduate of South Dakota State University. She enjoys camping, golf, and spending time with family and her dogs. Kimberly is double board certified in primary care and mental health and loves to care for patients physical and mental needs.

Megan Collier, FNP-C

Megan is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a graduate of Walden University. She has been in practice with RCMC since 2017 and has greater than 10 years experience as a Registered Nurse prior to 2017. She has now found her home in Family Practice and enjoys her patient experiences every day. Her passion lies within caring for the whole family from 0-100+!

Prior to Family Practice, she spent approximately 3 years with gastroenterology and was specialized in IBS and IBD. Being able to optimize patient’s day to day symptoms and help them obtain relief is a gratifying part of her practice.

Megan is a native of Rapid City and enjoys living in the area. She is a wife and a mother of 2 children, Braden and Alexis. Alexis is creative and artistic while Braden is adventurous and motivated. Lilly (Scottish Terrier) and Mya (German Shepherd) bring such joy to their family and keep them on their toes. Megan enjoys time with family and friends, going to church, hiking, boating, vacations, and crafting in her free time.

Jennifer has been a certified Physician Assistant since 2002 and is a graduate of University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Jennifer has practiced in pediatrics, urgent care and family medicine. Jennifer has enjoyed getting to know her patients. She feels blessed to treat such wonderful patients and to be supported by the knowledgeable caring staff at RCMC. Jennifer has three children. She enjoys swimming, yoga, traveling and spending time outdoors with her husband.

Jacqueline van Egeraat, MD

Jacqueline van Egeraat, MD

Dr. van Egeraat completed medical school and family medicine residency training at Radboud University Nijmegen in eastern Holland. After residency, she practiced family medicine between the United States and Holland for a few years before permanently moving to the United States. She completed an additional family medicine residency with an emphasis in rural health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

She practiced community health in Nebraska for five years following her residency there. She and her husband love the outdoors and the beauty of the Black Hills, which influenced their move to the area in 2008. At this time, she began practicing with the Community Health Center of the Black Hills. She joined Rapid City Medical Center’s Family Medicine Department in 2017.

She enjoys providing multigenerational care because it allows her to build relationships with her patients and their families as she follows them through the stages of life. Within family medicine, she is especially interested in diabetes management and women’s health.
