Kate Schmidt is a Certified Nurse Practitioner with the Urgent Care Department. She was born and raised in South Dakota and attended nursing school through the University of South Dakota. She completed her Masters in Science through Walden University in 2020 and received her ANCC accreditation in Family Practice. She has been in Urgent Care since 2021 and loves the variety and fast paced environment. Kate enjoys spending her free time in the outdoors. She loves to hike, backpack, cycle, kayak, and ski.

Emily Huntley, MSPAS-C attended Augustana College and received her MS in PA studies from Des Moines University in 2004. Originally from Rapid City, Emily has lived in the Black Hills continually except for her time in school. Emily maintains membership in the ACR AHP (organization for APPs by the American College of Rheumatology) and ISCP (International Society of Clinical Densitometry).
She is married to Justin, an engineer, and raising two kids that are growing up too fast. The family enjoys hiking, backpacking, and caring for a menagerie of animals including dogs, cats, and chickens.

Claudia Hougland, C-NP
Claudia is originally from Rapid City and after spending several years east river, working as a cardiology ICU nurse, she was excited to move back home to be reunited with her family and start her career at Rapid City Medical Center.
During her time at Rapid City Medical Center Claudia worked as a registered nurse in both family practice and interventional pain. She completed her advanced practice training throughout the medical center’s many different specialties, though interventional pain is where she found her calling.
She obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Dakota. After gaining experience in the hospital setting, she then attended the University of North Dakota and received her master’s degree in nursing to become a certified nurse practitioner.
Claudia’s passions include creating meaningful relationships with her patients and working together with them on treatment plans to decrease their pain and improve their quality of life.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs hiking, camping, and exploring the Black Hills.

Sandra Erickson NP is Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She was born and raised in MN and graduated from Arizona State University with a Masters of Science and a Bachelors. She has a passion for Interventional Pain and several years of experience in Interventional Pain and has a special interest in chronic headaches, migraines, and Botox injections.
She enjoys hiking and exploring the beautiful Black Hills with family.
