Carson Eisenbeisz, MD

Dr. Hadly “Carson” Eisenbeisz is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with Rapid City Medical Center, bringing a passion for advanced eye care and a commitment to helping patients protect and improve their vision. Born and raised in Pierre, South Dakota, Carson discovered his calling in ophthalmology at a young age, inspired by his own childhood eye doctor. Experiencing firsthand the life-changing clarity that came from corrective lenses, he knew he wanted to provide that same transformation for others.

Carson earned his undergraduate degree from South Dakota State University before attending the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, following a preliminary year in internal medicine. His training solidified his dedication to combining cutting-edge surgical techniques with compassionate, patient-focused care.

As a first-generation physician, Carson is proud to have forged his own path in medicine. He has also extended his expertise globally, participating in outreach programs in Ghana and Northern India, where he provided eye care to underserved populations. His work at home and abroad reflects his belief in service, stewardship, and improving quality of life through better vision.

Outside the clinic, Carson enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife, Delaney. Together they bike, rock climb, ski, run, garden, and fish. They also share their home with two dogs and a cat. They also enjoy watching sports, playing board games, and woodworking.

Dr. Eisenbeisz is honored to serve the Black Hills region, helping patients maintain and restore one of their most vital senses, their sight.
