
Dr. McGuire was raised in a ranching family in Montana and lived in several regions of the United States before settling in Rapid City in 1993. He attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, followed by an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at USAF Medical Center/Keesler in Biloxi, Mississippi. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. He devoted nine years of active duty to the Air Force and practiced gastroenterology for two years at Elmendorf Air Force Base in AK.
In addition to general gastroenterology, his practice involves specialized procedures for the evaluation and treatment of disorders of the pancreas and bile ducts.
He and his wife have five adult children and several grandchildren.
