Loyal Tillotson, MD, PhD

Dr. Tillotson is a native of northeastern Ohio. He received a bachelor’s of art degree in chemistry from Ohio Northern University before earning combined MD and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard Medical School. His graduate and postgraduate research centered on the cellular and molecular biology of colon cancer. His postgraduate clinical training included an internal medicine residency at Duke University Medical Center and a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Subsequently, he had faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

He is certified as a Diplomat in both internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Tillotson is also a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association and a trustee of John Witherspoon College. He is married and has two children. His favorite pastime is working with horses.
